Customizable sound space with hybrid digital noise-cancelling technology

Customize your listening experience to focus on work, immerse yourself in a variety of entertainment, or create a personalized sound space—even in noisy environments.

Two small noise-cancelling MEMS microphones* on each of the headphones capture and transmit environmental noise to a high-accuracy noise-cancelling processor. A proprietary filter is then applied to maximize noise-cancelling performance, eliminating unwanted sounds.

*The two microphones are used for feedforward (housing side) and feedback (conduit side).

The compact design of the headphones ensures they sit discreetly in your ears, providing a more comfortable experience. The snug fit also provides superior sound insulation and prevents sound leakage.

The comfortable design and soft texture ensure a secure, stress-free fit even when used for a long time. This secure fit also makes the ATH-TWX7 ideal for working out.

Listen to music while remaining aware of your surroundings

The built-in microphones capture ambient sounds so users can remain aware of their surroundings while wearing the headphones. The hear-through function is useful for listening to music while walking, playing sports, doing housework, working remotely, or using public transportation.

Easy capture of voices with talk-through function

The talk-through function is perfect for tuning in or out of your surroundings, allowing you to hear announcements or listen to those around you. This single-action function instantly lowers playback volume and captures ambient sounds while enhancing the vocal bandwidth.

• Use the Connect app to customize the talk-through background playback volume.

Clear Calls Anywhere, Any Time

Two call modes to choose from

Choose from two modes* to suit your call environment: Natural Mode ideal for indoors and other quiet environments, and Noise-Reduction Mode for clear calls even when outdoors or in other noisy environments.

The test function in the Connect app’s mode selection screen also makes it possible to check the tone and clarity of your voice.

Beamforming microphone clearly captures voices, even in noisy environments

Small, high-performance MEMS (micro-electromechanical system) microphones are strategically placed in two locations on each headphone. These two microphones make it possible to use beamforming technology* for clear transmission of your voice even in noisy environments.

*This technology is directional toward the speaker’s mouth to accurately capture the speaker’s voice for enhanced call quality.

Quick microphone mute function

The microphone can be easily muted during calls via built-in controls on the headphones, without having to adjust computer or smartphone settings.

The button assignment function can also be configured* to mute the microphone and capture ambient sounds simultaneously with a single action to prevent unwanted sounds from being captured. This function makes it possible to instantly prevent sounds in cafes and other environments from being transmitted through the microphone.

In-call noise-cancelling and hear-through for improved clarity in any situation

Just as with music playback, the noise-cancelling and hear-through functions can be turned on or off during calls to suit any environment and situation.

 

Multipoint support* for two simultaneous connections

Connect to both your smartphone and work computer or tablet at the same time, so you’ll never need to worry about switching devices again. This makes it possible to switch from listening to music on your smartphone to using the headphones for work or online conferences without having to re-pair.

*The multipoint function must be switched on in the Connect app.

High-resolution wireless connectivity with LDAC codec support

Take advantage of transmissions at up to 96 kHz/24 bit for wide-band, high-dynamic-range sound comparable to the source data. AAC and SBC codecs are also supported in addition to LDAC.

• Switch codecs at any time with the Connect app.

• Low Latency Mode will be disabled when using LDAC.

Clear audio from 5.8 mm drivers

The driver design for the ATH-TWX7’s 5.8 mm drivers is borrowed from the flagship ATH-TWX9 headphones, allowing for a compact design with an excellent fit and clear audio.

Soundscape function for improved focus or relaxation

Use the Connect app to listen to the relaxing sounds of nature carefully recorded using Audio-Technica microphones and designed to promote relaxation and calmness, or use masking noise to enhance concentration and healing sounds for rejuvenation and meditation. This function offers a soothing mental soundscape.

Advanced personal time management with Private Timer function

The Private Timer function ensures that notifications are only heard by the person wearing the headphones. The headphones can also be used to help manage your time during work or when taking a break with a quick nap.

Three subtle yet stylish color variations

Choose from three elegant colors—Ash Black (BK), Rich White (WH), and Stone Gray (GY)—with a unified design that includes the headphones, eartips, and charging case.

Compact, easy-to-carry charging case

The compact charging case with rounded edges features a non-slip outer surface that feels comfortable and secure, helping to reduce the risk of accidental drops when out and about. The small size also makes it easy to put the case in a small bag or even in your pocket on the go.

 

Two eartip styles to choose from

Designed with special attention to fit and comfort, the headphones come with two types of eartips. Choose from soft eartips featuring a soft umbrella that reduces stress on the ears even when used for long periods, or normal eartips with an elastic umbrella designed to provide better fit and stability. Each eartip type includes four sizes (XS, S, M, and L).

Touch sensors and buttons can be freely assigned to control music playback, volume, ambience control functions, and more based on your personal preferences, allowing for a seamless experience customized to your needs.

 

Easy ambience control

With every touch of the headphones, ambience control can be switched between noise-cancelling, off, and hear-through. The button assignment setting can also be configured to switch between your most frequently used options, for example, just turning noise-cancelling on and off.

Selectable voice guidance: Japanese or English

Choose from voice guidance in English or Japanese.

Customizable sound quality

Use the Connect app to customize the sound to your liking with four equalizer presets in addition to the original (flat) setting, or customize the equalizer settings to create your preferred sound. The graphic equalizer makes it easy to intuitively adjust the sound settings to perfectly suit your tastes.

Adjustable volume steps

Easily fine-tune the volume adjustment level in the Connect app to get the perfect listening comfort for your ears. Use the app to change the adjustment steps from 16 (default) to 32 or 64 steps for more fine-grained control.

Adjustable touch sensor sensitivity

Touch sensor operation can be affected by the season, weather, or amount of moisture on your fingers. This function—configurable using the Connect app—helps improve operation by adjusting the sensitivity of the sensor.

Easily locate lost headphones

Use the Connect app to easily locate lost headphones and configure various other settings.

Set the headphones to pairing mode and touch the pop-up that appears on your Android device to pair with one touch. You can even check to see where you last placed the headphones.

Approx. 6.5 hours of continuous playback with up to 20 hours of extended use*

Enjoy up to 6.5 hours* of use from each headphone when fully charged—even with noise-cancelling turned on—or 20 hours of use with both the headphones and charging case fully charged. Turn noise-cancelling off to get up to 7.5 hours of use from each headphone or 24 hours of use with the charging case.

Place-and-charge Qi wireless charging

To charge the headphones, simply place the charging case on a Qi wireless charger (sold separately), or charge it by directly connecting the included USB charging cable.

Fast-charging support

Charging for just 15 minutes (approx.) provides about 60 minutes of use (even with noise-cancelling turned on).* Simply charge the headphones in the case while getting ready for a quick charge before heading out.

Rain and water splashproof design

The headphones boast an IPX4-equivalent* JIS/IEC protection rating (headphones only). The splashproof design means you never have to worry about keeping them dry in sudden rain showers or when exercising.

*An IPX4-equivalent rating signifies the product will not be adversely affected by water splashing from any direction. This rating does not ensure protection in hot and humid locations such as baths and showers. The product is not completely waterproof.
